The festival follows on from an experiment carried out in 2022 and 2023 in Geneva, Paris and Monaco. The intention was to bring together contemporary artists and prestigious chefs such as Alain Passard, Guy Savoy, Mauro Colagreco, Alain Ducasse and Anne-Sophie Pic around the theme of "urban gardens". They have collaborated with artists proposed by galleries such as Perrotin, Hauser & Wirth, Continua, Obadia and Georges-Philippe et Nathalie Vallois. Artistic activations can be immersive, luminous, performative, intimate, sculptural, textual, sonic - the whole creative spectrum is explored through these collaborations.
The next Art & Gastronomy festival will take place in Milan during the Salone Del Mobile in April and will gather around 15 of the city's leading galleries and iconic chefs, putting gastronomy and design into perspective. Brussels and New York are already on our list of exquisite future destinations. Each edition is accompanied by an interdisciplinary publication produced by the Octopus - Précis artistique des mots de bouche magazine, exploring the theme through fields such as science, poetry, philosophy, history and humour.
